My Commission F.A.Q
Please read completely.

Q. Ok, so now you have an idea what I want.  Now what?
A. If it's a costume or any other custom commission, e-mail me and ask about the item so I can give you an idea of how long it will take.  Please note that everything is hand made and it may take a while.  Also what you get may look slightly different due to fabrics and materials.   Once the item is agreed upon I will ask for measurements  and work on your item.  Please give me two months.  I'm a housewife, I sew when I'm not doing other house related activities.  Costumes may take more time depending on the season.  But if you need it for a certain convention, let me know and I'll try.  When I am done I will ask for the second half of the payment and send you an image so you may see what you're paying for (please make any grievances then).  Once the payment is completely received the item will be sent to you.

Items with the Buy Now buttons you don't need to e-mail me about.  Just click and follow Paypal proceedures.  If you're paying by check or money order, e-mail me instead.  I'll receive your order, work on it and then tell you when you should be expecting it.  If I'm swamped with commissions I may take down the Buy Now buttons.

Q. Costume Commissions: When do you expect payment?
A. Once it is agreed upon that I will be making something for you, I will expect 1/2 the total payment as a non-refundable deposit before I begin work.  That can be sent to me either in check, money order (e-mail me for my address) or through paypal (eleloi@yahoo.com).  As stated previously, the second half is expected after I have completed the commission and send the image, before the commission is shipped to you.  Please do not back out of a commission.  I will have gone through a lot of trouble to acquire fabrics and begin work on the costume which is a big waste of time if you have second thoughts.  I will make the total payment very clear in the beginning, if you have financial difficulties, please let me know ASAP so we can work out some sort of layaway system (buying a costume piece by piece over an extended period of time).  Just remember cosplay is an expensive hobby, so keep that under consideration when you hire me.

Q. Do you make weapons, armor or style wigs?

A. No, I do not.  But I do know a wig stylist, Katie Bair

Q. How much do you charge?
A. I charge $20 an hour.  If you want a costume, be advised that it may add up in price due to complexity.  I also charge for the fabrics I have to buy.  I will send you a list of what I spent to buy your fabrics and materials... and you can have your remnants if you pay for fabric.  Smaller items and some costume pieces have a flat rate because I've made them enough that I know how much time it takes.  See below for flat rate items.  This, of course, doesn't include postage or fabrics.  Flat rate sales will not get remnants if they aren't charged for fabric.

Q. How much is S&H?
A.  I'm working with $5 right now for the small fleece items.  That covers various costs associated with sending a package.  If you order something heavy or bulky, the shipping price will go up.

Q. What payment methods do you accept?
A. Already answered above, but reiterated here... I accept check, money order and Paypal so far.  I'm working on incorporating Paypal into my site so you'll see the "buy now buttons."  I also hope to add a credit card option in the future.

Q. What is your Return Policy?
A. With wearable or custom made items it's not very hygienic for me to resell if you decide you don't like it.  If you order an item, it's yours.  However if some manufacturing error occurs (a button pops off, a button joint is pulled, etc), I will fix it within a limited time frame of you receiving it.  That time frame is a month.  Normal wear and tear I will not be held responsible for, but I will fix it for a small fee ($5 and replacement materials).  With button jointed plushies, if you yank on their arms or legs, the thread may snap and the appendage will come off.  Please be careful with their arms and legs.  They should be fine to sleep with or be hugged, but causing undue stress even on heavyduty craft/carpet/button thread will make it snap.

Proceedure for fixing an item:
1. Email me, giving me the nature of the break and how it occured.  (Playing rough with it will be considered normal wear and tear.)
2. I'll email you back, discussing if it was manufacturing error or wear and tear... If wear and tear, I'll quote fixing price.
3. You send me the item.
4. I'll fix and send you back the item.

If it was "wear and tear" and a price was quoted, I'll expect it to be paid before I fix your item and send it back.

Q. What does  "Not Accepting Commissions At the Moment" mean?
A. It means I've been flooded.  Once my workload lightens I'll accept commissions again.  Just be patient.  This will probably happen the month before conventions I normally attend... Fanime (beginning of June... so May is busy) and Yaoicon (end of October... so all of October is busy).  With items like hats, they may be on back order while I restock after a convention.  I will, however, accept new orders for hats or other basic items that have paypal buttons.  Just be aware that it may take a little longer getting to you.
